What a property finder actually does
Searching online gives you hundreds of listings, many of them duplicated, out of date or not quite what the photos suggest. As your Bahrain property finder, my job is to turn that noise into a short, honest list of real options — and then help you see each one clearly before you commit.
I’m Muhammad Jahengir Akram, a Senior Property Advisor at Al Forsa Real Estate, and I’ve worked in the Bahrain property market for around 10 years. I work with buyers, tenants, investors and owners, and I keep the process personal: one point of contact, straightforward advice, and regular updates.
A note on the name: “property finder” here describes the service I provide. Bahrain Realtor is not affiliated with the Property Finder listings portal or any other property website.
How I help you find the right property
1. Understanding your brief
We start with a conversation about what matters: buying or renting, your realistic budget (including fees and running costs), preferred areas, number of bedrooms, schools or commute, sea views, parking, pets, and your timeline. If you’re undecided between areas, I’ll explain the trade-offs honestly.
2. Searching and shortlisting
I search available stock — including properties that may not be widely advertised yet — and filter out anything that doesn’t match. You receive a focused shortlist with the reasons each option made the cut, and anything I think you should know.
3. Viewings and comparisons
I arrange viewings around your schedule and can do an initial video viewing if you’re overseas. Afterwards, I help you compare options side by side: layout, condition, service charges, community facilities, and how each property fits your brief. My guide on comparing properties in Bahrain explains the checklist I use.
4. Due diligence and negotiation
Before you make an offer, we check the basics: ownership and title, whether the property is eligible for your type of ownership, outstanding service charges, the condition of the property, and what is included. I then negotiate on your behalf and keep the communication clear on both sides.
5. Through to completion
I coordinate with sellers or landlords, developers, banks and your legal adviser so that paperwork, payments and handover happen in the right order. For buyers, the step-by-step guide to buying property in Bahrain explains what to expect.
Services I offer
I also help owners who want to sell or lease out their property, starting with a candid view of where it sits in the market.
Where I search
Most of my clients are looking in Amwaj Islands, Marassi Al Bahrain and Diyar Al Muharraq, and I also search other areas of Bahrain depending on your requirements. Each community has a different feel, price point and set of service charges, so it’s worth comparing a couple before deciding.
Why work with an expert property finder?
- Time: you view a handful of suitable properties instead of dozens of unsuitable ones.
- Local knowledge: I know how buildings and communities differ beyond what listings show.
- Transparent advice: I’ll tell you when a property isn’t right for you, even if it means keeping looking.
- Fewer surprises: we check ownership, eligibility and costs before you commit.

Frequently asked questions
Do I pay you to find a property?
Commission arrangements depend on the type of transaction and are agreed in writing before any work begins. Ask me and I’ll explain exactly what applies to your situation — there are no hidden fees.
Can foreigners buy property in Bahrain?
Non-Bahrainis can buy freehold property in designated areas, subject to the applicable rules. Eligibility depends on your nationality, the property and its location, so it should always be confirmed for the specific property. See my freehold property page for more.
Can you help me if I’m not in Bahrain yet?
Yes. We can work by WhatsApp and video call, and I can carry out video viewings so you can shortlist remotely before you travel.
Do you only work in Amwaj Islands?
No. Amwaj Islands, Marassi Al Bahrain and Diyar Al Muharraq are where I work most often, but I search across Bahrain depending on your brief.
How quickly can you send options?
Once I understand your requirements, I’ll tell you honestly what’s available and how long a good search is likely to take. Availability changes, so I share options as they come up rather than padding the list.
